Books and Things

A friend of mine recently posted a simple question – What book(s) are you reading?

I found it pleasant to provide the name of one of the books I was reading and just plain fun to say something about it.  Reading some of the books that other folks were reading was also enlightening – bringing pleasant memories, new titles to try … or not to bother with.read-bookshelf

The whole point of social media is to be social, right?  Why not set aside an area on Erdalife.net for just such a purpose?

Let everyone know what you are reading and jot down a few lines about how it was.  Let me know what you liked about it, how it made you feel or even if you didn’t like it.  Save your friends some time, that is always welcome too!

I am currently reading American Soldier – General Tommy Franks.  General Franks is the author with Malcolm McConnell co-authoring.  Beginning with his time in South Vietnam, this book gives an inside view of the events that have shaped our lives over the past 45 years; Vietnam, Cold War, Korea, the Gulf, 9/11, Afghanistan and Iraq.

There is nothing that takes you back to your own memories of 9/11 quit like the inside view of what the Commander in Chief of the Unites States Central Command faced in those first 72 hours after the attack.  The matter-of-fact narrative of these events is extremely informative.

Okay …. now it’s your turn.  Leave a reply about what you are reading.  Share with us, share this page with your friends, please.  It will be fun.

Most of all – Enjoy!
